Who is eligible? SDTBC Accelerator candidates should be entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial teams that are developing a technology business with high growth potential and are ready or nearly ready to launch.

Application

Applications will be accepted online only. All applications must be submitted by Friday, March 30, 2012. Each application will be reviewed and interviews will be scheduled with finalists. SDTBC Accelerator participants will be notified of their selection on or before Friday, April 20, 2012 The Accelerator Boot Camp week is May 21-25, 2012 followed by twelve (12) weeks of incubation. Selected applicants should plan to be available and actively working on and in their business for the entire incubation period.

Participation

Selected SDTBC Accelerator candidates will be expected to participate all day everyday of the Accelerator Boot Camp week. During that week there will be some evenings that include networking events and each evening there will be additional home work that you may be expected to accomplish prior to the start of the next day’s session.

Application Guidelines

Each application will be evaluated on the business concept, response to the questions in the application and your readiness to launch. To complete a successful application type your answers in the gray box directly over the text. The box will expand as you type to record your complete answer. You should be able to answer all of the questions; they are designed to help us find people who are serious and passionate about starting their business. Please be concise and to the point but make sure that your answers are complete. Like investors, we will be looking for a compelling problem that you are able to solve with your technology product or service and the enthusiasm in your answers will identify the best applicants. If you make claims in your application be sure that you are able to substantiate those assertions. Please copy and paste brief bios for each of the entrepreneurial team members at the end of the application document. Submit the completed Word document in a single file to pamb@sdtbc.com.
