The South Dakota Technology Business Center is a 45,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with a completely redundant power and technology infrastructure. Our clients lease private office or wet lab suites and have access to a multitude of shared facility resources. These resources allow our clients to lease less and get more, the shared facility resources include:

• conference rooms
• meeting rooms
• break room
• work room with copier/printer, fax, scanner, shredder
• other office equipment

This shared space helps to contribute to the atmosphere of community at the Technology Business Center it is the ideal way to allow you to focus on your business not the equipment and space needed to run your business. Lease rates include:

• electricity
• heat
• air conditioning
• water
• removal of garbage and recyclables
• lawn care and snow removal
• cleaning of all common areas

In addition to all of the shared portions of the facility, it is all protected with a back-up generator to offer your business the ability to work even during power outages. There is a shower in the building. We also offer notary service, locked mail boxes, and a receptionist to give client companies of all sizes a professional place to conduct business.

Flexible terms

Clients accepted to the SDTBC incubation program sign one year leases with up to four additional one year leases. Companies are expected to graduate from the Technology Business Center in three to five years. The Technology Business Center offers a variety of suites and often assists clients in finding the perfect place to grow into. This allows clients the ability to lease less space in the first year while they grow into the specific suite selected at SDTBC. If the suites available at the Technology Business Center do not specifically meet your needs we would be glad to discuss build to suit alternatives to meet your needs.

The Technology Business Center offers small businesses access to top of the line technology infrastructure that includes:

• CISCO IP telephone system with Contact Center
• servers and switches
• terabyte file/exchange servers with daily tape back-up
• system is monitored and managed daily to insure that your internet resources are  available and responsive

• LCD Projectors for on and off site use

Companies that graduate from the Technology Business Center are encouraged to stay in the Sioux Falls area to continue to expand and grow our economy. The SD Land Company has built a multi-tenant facility adjacent to the Technology Business Center and targets our graduating companies. The technology infrastructure available at SDTBC is also available to tenants of the SD Land Company Building located at 4701 Research Drive. SDTBC graduate company DocuTAP is located in this facility now.

SDTBC also extends its technology infrastructure and programs for entrepreneurs to the companies that are working closely with University of South Dakota scientists and researchers developing new technologies and products at the GEAR Center (Graduate Education and Applied Research Center) in north Sioux Falls.
